Finding the Heart of Your Brand Story: How Kamilla’s Journey Helped Raise $300K for The Carying Place

A great example is Kamilla Wright, whose journey from homelessness to homeownership inspired a room full of people to donate $308,000 to The Carying Place at their recent fundraiser. With years of experience as a broadcast journalist, I’ve seen firsthand how the right story can move people to action. At The Carying Place, we helped tell Kamilla’s story—a single mother and school teacher who overcame homelessness, with the support of this non-profit. By working together with the charity leadership to select her as the focus, we crafted a narrative that resonated deeply with the audience.
